In a world where everywhere you look you find data, either it's text, video, or social media, it makes sense to create a tool to help researchers store, organize, categorize, and analyze data.
QSR NVivo comes wrapped in a neatly crafted interface, with multiple customization options, and with a good choice of color mixture. Still, for a novice user, the interface can be confusing, mostly when navigating through tabs.
With QSR NVivo, you can analyze themes by one or two attributes, such as town or education details by just using the crosstabs. After being calculated, the results can be saved as an SPSS file and used in the future for more in-depth analysis.
Another embedded functionality is that users can now quickly access their information thanks to pin folders and items feature. Thus, they can use annotations to make notes and store their thoughts in memos for faster reporting.
Moreover, the program supports the import of Survey/Monkey and Qualtrics surveys directly into NVivo. The information from Microsoft Excel, IBM SPSS Statistics can also be imported and shared. Notes from Evernote and OneNote are supported, too.
To sum it up, QSR NVivo is a complex software solution for organizing and managing data, one that is equipped with various tools so that every user achieves their goals. The downsides are the price and the lack of cloud functionality.
